As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetIn this tour, all places visited are to be left as they were found. No piece of paper or rubbish is to be left behind. All of our modern air-conditioned cars are provided with baskets for rubbish in addition to environmentally friendly exhaust systems. Local guides, local representatives, and local drivers are not allowed to smoke during work. We emphasize reducing noise pollution by ordering tour drivers to refrain from using their car horns. This tour supports eco-tourism as we do our best to work with ecologically friendly hotels. We are always open to any suggestions from clients regarding how to improve our services in terms of environmental impact.
This tour is based on a short domestic flight. However you can use train journeys instead of the internal flight. In this tour we do our best to use green and sustainable hotels and resorts. Some of these hotels have solar water heaters on their roofs, but in most of these hotels, water accounts for 10% of the utility bill. Therefore they are implementing a strategic water conservation initiative by asking guests to reuse their towels, eliminating the need to replace them every day and thereby conserving water.
PeopleFor this tour, we will provide travelers with accurate information before their arrival concerning the customs, traditions, and suitable clothes for each destination they visit in this tour.
We also hire tour guides and representatives from local communities. Getting tours by locals is a great opportunity to make real friends. They are more than walking, talking encyclopedias who offer information about a place. They tend to share their insights and experiences and are also fun to be around. As they reside in the city that you’re traveling in, and they may take you through their daily lives at a personal level that you can relate to. Engaging in these conversations builds friendships that often last.
In this tour, we encourage clients to buy handmade artifacts from street vendors or local producers in Aswan, Cairo, and Luxor such as perfume, papyrus, carpets from carpet schools, and pharaonic gold or silver souvenirs. This tour includes a visit to the local markets like Khan El Khalili Bazaar in Cairo and the Souks in Luxor and Aswan. We recommend our clients to try the dining experience at the locally-owned restaurants that offer traditional Egyptian foods. Egypt's culinary dishes are delicious, varied, mildly spiced, and combine all types of flavors. Be sure to try famous traditional dishes such as molokhia, koshari, flat baladi bread, and good Egyptian cheeses.
