We can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets.
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetThe venue for this Wild Wellness Weekend has been chosen specifically for its environmental credentials and sustainable approach to running a rural business. Solar panels provide much of the power for the glamping site, enabling guests to recharge their phones using renewable energy. Each tent has it's own composting toilet too.
Much of the produce used to cater for guests is grown on site and the free range hens provide fresh eggs daily. Not only does this reduce the food miles to practically zero, they are organically grown too. So there are no nasty chemicals entering the ground as a result and, of course, you won't be eating anything unnatural yourself!
The whole ethos of this venue is to get back to nature, having as little impact on the environment as possible and leading a more wholesome life. It's the perfect place for a wild wellness retreat, getting you back to nature and showing how you can incorporate some of this thinking into your daily life.
PeopleNorth East Wales is less visited than its more famous counterparts of Snowdonia and Anglesey. One of our aims is to bring more visitors to this beautiful region, supporting those businesses whose livelihood depends on tourism. Ultimately we are working towards make more trips available during the quieter times of year, helping local business owners to sustain their business year round and provide reliable employment for local residents.
By joining this wellness retreat, you will be helping us to improve recognition of this area and encourage more like-minded travellers to explore it too.
In addition to the venue, we also work with a number of other independent businesses to provide this retreat. Fiona is a locally-based self-employed storyteller, bringing life to the myths and legends of Wales and sharing our heritage with visitors. Your SUP session is provided by a husband and wife team who are passionate about all things SUP. And the foraging experience is provided by the owner of the venue. Together we create a small network of micro businesses, supporting each other and supporting our wider community.
