As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

On this trip we operate a policy to minimise plastic use and are working with our suppliers to provide water coolers on buses and vehicles to enable our customers to top up water using their own bottles as they go along.
As a travel company we are continually looking for ways to improve and are proud to be ‘Responsible in everything we do’. Education is key, and so all staff, Tour Leaders and partnering suppliers are trained in responsible and sustainable tourism. At our Head Office, we continually strive towards a sustainable and planet-friendly working environment, including having solar panels installed and a company commitment to reducing our plastic usage.
The Impacts of this Trip
Many safari trips use chain lodges and hotels where money goes to foreign owners, we use local owned guesthouses and have weaved into the trip experiences that directly benefit the communities that we visit including visiting a coffee plantation in Moshi and spending an afternoon with the local Chagga tribe where use a local guide to explore and swim in the rockpools near Materuni waterfall and canoe on Lake Duluti.
Our partners who operate this trip are three Tanzanian brothers who formed the company in 1969, they have first hand knowledge of a wealth of expertise and with our input invest in developing the skills and education their local team providing opportunity and life skills.
As a company we have valuable and longstanding partnerships with UK charities Toilet Twinning and Send a Cow, plus many smaller initiatives and projects around the world. We’re members of the UK travel industry body AITO because we believe it’s important to share our knowledge and experience, as well as learn from other operators.
