Responsible tourism

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

We operate this tour with a maximum group size of 18 travelers to minimize our impact on the culture and the environment where we visit.

We work with suppliers who are local families, avid outdoorsmen and cultural guardians part of the local fabric of each location that we visit.
Our guides are locals who have spent years learning about their environment and the animals living among it. They bring unaparralleled passion for their land and for passing along knowledge to our clients. We are in constant communication with our guides to ensure that our itineraries can be executed with the least amount of impact to the environment and to the local wildlife.

We stay in tents that are brought along for the trip and set up at each site. We take out whatever we bring in and do not leave any footprints behind us.

Meals are prepared by our team and made with locally available meats, fish, fruits, veggies and spices. Waste is kept to a minimum. Water is dispensed liberally yet consciously. Each guest is provided with a reusable water bottle at the beginning of their trip. We reduce, reuse and recycle whenever possible.

A portion of the money from this tour goes to support the local community and local programming.

The Impacts of this Trip

Friends & Neighbors:
We not only emplye local guides but also assistants throughout the trip. These assistants set up our tents, cook our meals and help to ensure a smoothly run trip. Many of these assistants are young men and women currently enrolled in hospitality or guiding programs at the local university.

We also visit a local Masaai tribe who teach us about their housing, customs, and way of life. The funds paid for the visit are then used to dig wells and clean water to the area. Money is also contributed to local farming and educational initiatives.

We always give back in the areas we visit, including working with local charities that support communities in need and protect the local ecosystems.
