Planeta bycicle trip in Le Marche region, doesn't need many words about the respect of the environment. The environment of Le Marche is absolutely unique and still authentic. It needs to be protected and preserved for the next generations.
Farming is still a big part of life in Le Marche, with many fruits and vegetables grown organically (Italy is one of the few countries in the world not to produce Genetically Modified crops although some are imported so when in Italy, buy Italian!) and a rise in popularity of the Agriturismo. We were born in this region and we are proud of living here. At the heart of Italys centre, the Monti Sibillini National Park is a vast area encompassing 269 square miles of protected parkland that is an essential stop for hikers, skiers, walkers, and birdwatchers. At its highest, the Sibillini mountain range peaks at 2,476 metres above sea level, where golden eagles, peregrines, wolves, roe deer, porcupine, wild cat, rare marten, snow vole, and more than 50 endemic mammals roam freely in their natural habitat alongside 150 different types of bird and 20 kinds of reptiles, all surrounded by over 1,800 species of flora. Pine forests, freshwater lakes, vast mountain ranges and the occasional lunar-type landscape blend seamlessly with remote Medieval villages to create a region where time has stood still. A trip across Le Marche region with bycicle is most probably the best way and most respectful for the enviroment. This trip will also let you have a real experience of what is a sustainable life, becouse in this part of Italy still life is sustainable. During the trip you will have a real sense of being part of this "system of sustainability".
PeopleThis trip is deeply connected with a small community of little actors. In the region of Le Marche, despites is divided in 5 provinces, the sense of community is very strong. In our tiny region Le Marche, it is relatively easy to support local businesses, in fact we do it each day without realising. All the partners that we'll touch during the trips are small business, very local, often family business. The most are Agriturismo, real farmers that also offer hospitality. Real hospitality. Don't expect anything fancy, you will receive a fair and authentic cordiality. An Agriturismo is a guest house that provides meals to its clients sourced from the fresh food grown on its own land. These eco-friendly havens offer tourists the chance for clean eating while enjoying a countryside setting at the same time. Many have small holdings attached where animals roam freely, and plenty have outdoor pools to swim and relax in before a hearty organic meal. In many towns and areas in Le Marche, we eat the food that is in season. The fruit and vegetables are high quality, very tasty and all come from local farms in our area, Le Marche is home to an abundance of wineries, each one producing its own unique brand and welcoming visitors to taste while deciding which one to buy The itinerary we propose is simply a cross from a family bussines to another family bussines that offers genuine hospitality and delicious homemade meals.
