As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Energy-saving by travellers to turn off all air conditioning, lights, and electronics when leaving your hotel rooms. Simple tasks such as taking litter with you and using recyclable items are encouraged. In fact, all our guests departing from the UK for this tour will receive a reusable water bottle to take with them, meaning they don’t need to go through single-use plastic bottles on their trip.
It all starts at right in our office, where we have worked at reducing our carbon footprint making conservation and recycling measures. We support various projects all over the world to support and give back to the places we visit through our Foundation.
The Impacts of this Trip
This trip is based on lodging in locally owned hotels, not a Sandals Resort room in sight. This, in turn, supports locally owned businesses that often are overlooked by overseas visitors. For every $100 that a tourist spends in the Caribbean, only $20 go back locally. Joining this tour seeks to ensure that the majority of the revenues return to local communities.
Booking this tour considers the issue of reducing ‘leakage’ which is the unwanted leaving of money from a country as a result of taxes, wages, imports and profits that are paid outside the country.
The drivers, hotels owners, guides and community interactions are all locally derived. We don't use overseas guides or stay in internationally owned resorts. The tour is a holistic and encompassing Jamaican experience from the moment you land to the moment you leave.
On a more current note, this tour brings the opportunity to break stereotypes of Black culture. By understanding island life, and meeting locals, we hope will encourage positive forward-thinking and break barriers in the global issue of disproportionate injustices.
