Costa Rica volunteering and travel holiday
Description of Costa Rica volunteering and travel holiday
2021: 16 Nov, 16 Dec
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetThis tour includes the support for several projects aiming for protection and rehabilitation of endangered wild animals. We ensure to select these projects very carefully and have many years of collaboration with them, knowing about good practices and professional guidance for our visitors. Every donation from this tour goes directly to these projects and are a substantial support to continue their important conservation work.
On this tour you will have the opportunity to learn about local conservation efforts while visiting several National Parks or protected areas and make a direct contribution to local projects while giving support by taking over some of the daily tasks.
Enjoy a diverse experience in a responsible manner. We travel with low emission and where possible we stay at accommodation that are certified for sustainable practices in terms of water usage and waste management. We work for a single used plastic free country and offer the possibility to refill your water bottle with portable water and encourage our suppliers to reduce their impact as well.
PeopleWe have selected this itinerary to show you the biodiversity of the country, interesting small scale projects and local conservation efforts. Your visit will give substantial support for family or community projects that open up to show us their way of sustainable living, invite us to share meals and a deeper understanding of their culture and environmental approach. We encourage you to join us on this tour to learn hands on in these projects, live within a different culture and in exchange the local community will be able to continue their important work to educate and maintain their culture and independence.
Through this itinerary we will have impact on a variety of communities and programs and your visit will actively support the local economy. Either by purchase of their crafts (masks, bags, jewellery, etc) and products (such as cacao, café) that will be also for sale during your visit and by your purchase you will support the local artisans directly which is a great experience and fair trade.
All our tours include an introduction commenting about local customs and stressing out our respect for the local culture.
Our organization promotes the cultural diversity and our local team would like to welcome you to a unique experience and also thank you for your kind support.
