Snowshoeing in Albania holiday
Description of Snowshoeing in Albania holiday
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetIn this tour we are very careful when it comes to waste and protection of the areas we will put foot on. The group is advised to leave no litter behind, to collect and keep them with until we reach the town. This is done because during winter time, the waste pick up is done more rarely and we do not want to leave the waste up in the mountain villages for a long time. It is better to throw them in city bins.
If we are lucky to discover prints of wild/endangered animals, we contact our friends on the animal protection associations to inform them about what we have found.
All meals and picnics are made of local products and cooked/prepared from the family. We highly encourage travelers to consume and ask for the amount of food they need and not waste it since the resources during winter time are more likely to be collected with difficulties.
PeopleDuring winter time, the inhabitants would have usually moved to the city since there are more chances to be employed. But with this tour, they can stay in their houses and welcome travelers from all over the world. In this way we are contributing a lot not only financially but also emotionally, since they get to meet new people and cultures.
With the visit of Prizren and Kruja, traveler will not only learn more about the history and traditions of these cities, but they are also encouraged to contribute to the local crafts and artisans by buying kilims, handmade scarfs souvenirs and more. By buying locally and not in shopping malls, we directly help the families financially and encourage them to keep working.
By focusing on guesthouses who are family run businesses and by limiting the number of hotel stays, we are helping the families expand their finances and work toward improving their services and create more space for accommodating the guests.
