Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

Local projects that we visit include the near by ecological reconstruction zone Carasuhat. The project is sustained by World Wildlife Fund.
The Carasuhat area is the first ecological reconstruction area from the Danube Delta. Why is so important to promote this area? Because is a proof of how nature can take care of itself. In only 5 years with no human intervention this area became an independent closed ecosystem: wetland, water and land vegetation, mammals, birds etc. After the first 3 years, some birds started to use this area for breeding: Avocets, Lapwings, White-tailed eagles, Stilts. Starting with 2018 it seems that is a great place for Pelicans. They are not breeding here yet, but the thing that thousand of them are feeling confortable to stay here from June till the time of migration to Africa it is an encouraging fact for the future.
Again, "Why is so important this area?"
Because Carasuhat Area must represent a "best practice" project not only for the Danube Delta, but also for the whole World.
2. Energy - We use solar panel for whater heating. We use binoculars in our trips, as the birds can be seen, but not to be distrurb. We use LED bulbs in the building; We separate the plastic botles from the rest of the garbage. Before leaving in a tour, we have a few minutes of discussion with the tourists(something like a little training) about the environment: do not harm flowers, we will now stay close by birds that's why we are using binoculars, do not leave the garbage in the area, keep silence, use your life-vest etc.
The Impacts of this Trip
A very important point is to help local people to understand the real value of their living place, the real value of the Danube Delta, as not only a living place, but a very important place for the world.
We hired local people and we collaborate with the local school, preparing the students (apprentices) for a future in a responsible tourism.
We serve only traditional fish dishes. Most of the vegetables and fruits are from our yard. Some of the fish we use is caught by me, the rest is from the local fishermen.
In Mahmudia is a high school with tourism profile. We have a contract with them to prepare children for this industry. We make internships 2-3 months in the summer. Is our support for the community.
Doing this we want to help local children to remain home for the future, to have a job home. At this moment lots of them are leaving the town or the country.
