We volunteer to plant trees to every place we think its habitat needs to be restored. Starting from the schools, Catchment areas, along the road and to some towns. End of this year we want to establish the data base which will set the goals to achieve. The database will state how many trees we are suppose to plant every year and to identify the areas too.
World Clean Up
We are so happy to join the World Cleaning Up Day, our team make sure they go out and join the individuals and companies on clean up all the respected areas arranged accordingly to planners. We feel a responsibility to preserve the local culture and at the same time make sure the locals benefit from preserving the area.
Once we get to all these protected areas; Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti, there are park fees, concession fees or conservation levies that are charged. Our commitment to conservation is through all these levies we pay. For every trip, there is 5% that goes back to community especially the children and same time we participate in Serengeti Wild dog project.
PeopleWe Focus on small scale tourism and not mass tourism
We are an eco-tourism company; we donít believe in conquering the world and we donít believe in Mass Tourism. We dealing with mid-range to high end guests who are not here in volume. Our vision is to make biodiversity in Africa the best even for Generation after us.
One of the big challenges is that so many people have instead of providing a real cultural experience, turned it into a tourism trap and villages have become businesses.
We do our best to make sure the locals culture is preserved. We donít tell the local what to show our guest but let them go ahead doing their daily activities and our guest will be part of it.
We work with they have also succeeded to play a big role on the local community adjacent to their properties and those are the companies we are happy to send our guest to so as they can continue provide best to the locals.
-In all these properties where our guest overnight we make sure they will get time to go out and enjoy local activities as much as we can so as to facilitate their economy and continue to appreciate their culture.
We encourage all our guest on local shopping areas
- Guest involvement
We encourage our guest to participate in a community activities Eg. Bidding, Cow milking, Coffee tour, walkings, School visit, Water projects visits, Healthy projects visits. We love kids and our stance for any School Visits Programs is ONLY in their Holidays.
1) IF guests wish to provide any teaching aids, sports equipment/facilities they will present to us and we will deliver accordingly and send back a written feedback to them.
2) IF guest really wish to visit a school and we think there is a really good reason for them to do that, we make a special arrangement with the head teacher of the specific school accompanied by one or two of our TEAM members to facilitate the visit.
- Local economy
Once we go for camping, we employ locals, we buy most of the food from locals when possible.
