Entamanu Ngorongoro is an eco-conscious camp that can be completely disassembled to leave no mark on its pristine environment. When building the camp there was and still is, a focus to keep things sustainable. The raised wooded platforms are made from sustainable-sourced wood. The gas heaters are also environmentally friendly.
Nyaruswiga used only eco-friendly material and FSC-certified hardwood for the poles in the accommodation. The handcrafted furnishings are made from sustainable wood. Water is from a borehole and is filtered on site.

PeopleLake Duluti employs local people and also provides training in hospitality. They also provide English language classes for all the staff and a range of broad training courses for international tourism. During your stay they offer a village experience and a visit to the local market in the area and the market in Arusha which employs a large number of women that create quality hand made products.
Nimali Tarangire offers a trip to a neighbouring Maasailand boma and a visit to the local community, specifically a village. They also fund a community development programme which includes a water drilling rig to give locals access to clean water. Also funded the development of four local schools.
Entamanu Ngorongoro offers cultural visits to the local village which then helps support the local community. It is built into a small forest area on the crater rim while consulting closely with the local Maasai communities, the camp has minimal environmental impact. With is minimal ecological footprint, they are committed to forging ongoing beneficial relationships with the local communities. The art work seen throughout the camp is all made by local Tanzania artists. The guided walks around the rim of the crater is guided by a local Maasai to explain the way of life, the role of medicinal plants and Maasai beliefs.
