Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
In each trip, we significantly prioritize the environment. During this trip, we mainly visit the Himalayas around Mt. Everest. To keep the environment clean, we give the exact information about how and where to dispose of the garbages. In the beginning, we suggest our clients use reusable products, especially water bottles. On this trip, we visit Sagarmatha National Park. It is a park that also preserves some beautiful animals besides the giant mountain like; Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard, Wild Yaks, Lophophorus birds, etc. We support the program and are concerned regarding protecting the animals, birds and reducing Co2 emissions.
We stay in eco-hotels/ loges and also those who are supporting & participating in the go green movement. We recommend our valuable clients bring the solar charging system to save energy. Laundry on the outside or open water/ running water is not allowed in the region, we should not harm the aquatic animals.
People
We aim to promote and support the locals, resulting we have local trekking staff. All our trekking crews for the Everest trekking area are from the Everest region. We are focusing on the local villages and supporting to sustain the Sherpa community by telling their cultures. Our guide provides the appropriate information about the local culture and traditions. Always respect local social and religious beliefs such as while crossing Mani Painting, Mani Wall we have to go through the clockwise. Also, we give adequate information about clothing, activities in special locations such as inside the monasteries to respect the culture and practices.
In the end, guides help the client to find local souvenirs instead of branded ones. Because it benefits both seller and buyer, the buyer gets local products that may be new for them and the seller can generate little money. We highly encourage these locals to participate, create and promote local art and culture, which can be a source of income.
