Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
It is a company of local experts who have been working in responsible tourism for more than 15 years. We promote the local and untouched, unidentified destinations, findings the new hiking trails/ routes, minimizes the negative impacts on the environment, economy, and local culture value. Before operating each trip, we brief our staff about possible steps to minimize the impact on the environment. We are always against deforestation, and we strongly avoid them in trek who uses the wooden to boil water for a hot shower. We suggest them, and sometimes we also show them some meaningful footage and photos about the alternative resources of wood for the fire. On this trip, we have camped for two nights. At camp, we use gases instead of firewood. We always make clean campsite as we found before we camp there.
Our suggestion is to bring a refillable water bottle, using packing cubes instead of buying plastics and making unnecessary litter. It helps both weights for airlines and also less garbages disposal.
People
By running the trip in the different communities, we aim to benefit them properly. To enhance the economic status of locals and grow up the communities is a part of this Everest Base Camp trek. We employ the local climbing guide, porters, and required crew members. We believe that supporting and encouraging them to introduce themselves to clients build up their confidence level. They can deliver first-hand knowledge about their cultures and practices. In this trip, we have included Khumjung village, the largest Sherpa settlement in the region. At Khumjung, we see the core Sherpa culture and dated back history from Sherpa. Visiting the community exposes their lifestyle, daily meals, and routine. We can buy some souvenirs from the local village which never find in the market. It creates value for both.
We regularly provide adequate information about the practices of monuments, temples, and stupas before the tour starts. We organize all our tours in a socially responsible and ethical manner.
