Description of Atlas Mountains mountain biking holiday
Several years' worth of cycling in the Anti Atlas Mountains have led us to create this ultimate Atlas Mountains mountain biking tour, following our favourite tracks through some of most varied and dramatic landscapes these mountains have to offer. This off-road itinerary takes you along rocky jeep tracks, fast singletrack through palm groves, and hairpin trails that have been followed by muleteers for centuries.
A lack of mass tourism in this area has preserved not only these stunning landscapes but also the traditional Berber culture. Weve built up a relationship with local communities over the years, ensuring you get to experience the best of the Berber lifestyle, food and exceptionally warm welcome.
Over six days cycling, youll cover between 35-55km a day, the majority of it offroad there will be a support vehicle close by for most of the trip. This Atlas Mountains mountain biking holiday takes you to places that neither vehicles nor trekkers are likely to access, leaving you to traverse the otherworldly, boulder-strewn lunar landscapes, gorges, dry riverbeds and desert oases without interruption. The rough and ready landscapes contrast with the beautiful hotels; many are decorated in lavish North African style with a swimming pool and terrace, ideal for enjoying those stunning Moroccan sunsets.
