Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your holiday will help support conservation and local people.

The Impacts of this Trip
The program offers lots of adventure in the mountains, water and beach activities and exploring for kids, teens and parents. All the hotels have a swimming pool. In Trinidad you are in an all-inclusive beach resort at Playa Ancon where extra activities are organized for the children. When you decide to stay in homestays - casas particulares you directly support the local families & community. In case your children like to meet and interact with Cuban children of their age we can make a special request to our homestay families at each location. Some families have done this already. We recommend the children then already to start learning some Spanish. When your family likes to swim you can always visit the swimming pools of the hotels with the children for a small entrance fee, eg at hotel Sevilla in Havana, hotel Jasmines - Ermita in Vinales, hotel Soroa - la Moka at Soroa and las Terrazas and at Trinidad you can go to a wild part of the beach Ancon with palm thatched huts for the sunshade with coral gardens nearby for snorkeling or visit an all-inclusive resort for a day.
When you visit farmers during your excursion, we ask participants, if appropriate, to donate luxury articles like ballpoints, soap and shampoo, buy some coffee and/or leave a donation. When you make use of local accommodation in the form of casas particulares, you directly support that family and make sure that the income gets ploughed back into Cuban society. Visits to Cuban schools with local guides can be added in the itinery and donations can be left as well. In East Cuba you can collect clothes, shoes, medicaments and toiletries to donate to a Cuban organization which supports people from the countryside with no resources. You can also leave clothes, mountain shoes, toiletries or other articles directly with your local guides after the excursion.
With booking for an individual Cuba tour you receive a Cuba Manual with all kind of information to help you finding your way and have a great holiday on Cuba with your family.

The most memorable was visiting a 75 year old lady and her son living in what is left of a 200+ years old hacienda in the mountains surrounding Soroa, descendants of slaves who had worked on that farm. Their hospitality and joy of live, despite having very little, the beauty and wilderness of the mountains on our hike there ... Read full reviewReviewed on 08 Jan 2018 by Caroline Bustos
Cuba all of it. Beautiful country! Excellent. Would love to re visit. Tour was beautifully organised too! Thanx Read full reviewReviewed on 18 Apr 2017 by Rebecca Pollens
For me the most memorable parts are the people-to-people things, and bits of culture ... live music in a restaurant that inspires a couple to break out into some fabulous salsa dancing; and the nice connection made with our homestay family in Havana... The most memorable moment was spontaneously being invited into a home to listen in on a jam session with the resident and their guests. We were walking around the streets of Havana taking in the street scene and heard music coming out of a home. We peeked inside the house and were extended a warm invitation to come in and enjoy the music, rum and the fried plantains all without any expectation of any kind from our hosts. The best part was Havana. Everything about Havana, the tour in the old American car was great but we loved just wondering around. Read full reviewReviewed on 20 Dec 2016 by Rachel Levy

A real eye-opener. Felt like we actually got a glimpse of what REAL Cuban life is like - the good and the bad aspects. Saw outstanding natural beauty and spoke to (and danced with!) local people who were happy to answer our questions. Overall a wonderful experience. Read full reviewOur travel guides
