Vietnam 14 day tailor made itinerary
Description of Vietnam 14 day tailor made itinerary
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetWe actively help you to minimise plastic wastage on this trip. We launched our One Bottle At A Time initiative to replace disposable plastic water bottles with refillable canisters across our destinations. We also send our guests a wooden toothbrush to help avoid using hotelsí disposable plastic brushes, and educate clients about the limited recycling facilities in Asia, and best-practice regarding waste-reduction. Within our UK offices we operate strict recycling policies and make sure everyone in the office uses reusable crockery and cutlery.
This itinerary takes you out of the madness of the cities and into the serenity of the Vietnamese countryside. Mai Chau Eco Lodge was built using local materials with traditional methods. They have their own water treatment system avoiding the use of plastic bottles, solar energy is used where possible throughout the lodge and itís bungalows and waste is turned into biomass energy where possible.
PeopleWe are of the staunch opinion that minorities arenít tourist attractions. All our holidays that take place in and around minority communities are set up with the localsí best interests at heart and we work with partners who do everything possible to ensure that the entire community benefits from our visits.
This tailormade Vietnamese trip visits a number of small villages where tourism is only starting to impact communities like Pu Luong and Mai Chau and we want to ensure this is a positive experience, either in the form of overnighting in a homestay, purchasing produce from the local market or utilising local guides and transportation. Where possible in this itinerary we are staying in small, locally owned hotels.
We actively choose local guides and drivers, and work only with local travel partners. We insist that any travel partners we work with adhere to our responsible travel policies, and ideally put responsible tourism at the heart of everything they do. We work collaboratively with them to ensure an ongoing exchange of information, so we can all continue to improve our work around responsible tourism. All clients are given a travel pack with language, local etiquette and other social tips to help you get started, and have experienced local guides on hand to help you interact successfully and respectfully with the people you meet.
