Memorable parts? Seeing India as the locals do. Using the various public transport that is available. Eating the street food as well as restaurants. Seeing the colours of the saris and getting used to the smell of spices Tips? Don't take much luggage. You can wash your clothes out at night. If you have any tummy problems go to a local doctor. Enjoy all the new experiences. Local benefits? Yes it helped the local people. We did buy some goods in the places we visited but... (more)Sandra Gould

The most exciting part of the holiday was travelling on the overnight train and the many opportunities we had to meet local people and glimpse a little of what their lives are like.
