Walk in unique geology Troodos, through pine, juniper, cedar forests, valleys, barren mountain peaks, by a Unesco World Heritage Painted church, next to streams, by a manmade lake, waterfalls, mires and orchards. The routes we recommend most are Artemis and Madari, as well as Persephone trail, Caledonia Waterfalls trail and a walk to a nearby manmade lake (also Kannoures trail, which is more demanding). The walks covers elevation from 2,000 m (6,500 f) to under 1,000 m (3,000 f). It is very possible to do very short (eg just six km (four mi) for Persephone trail, or eight ... Read more >
