South Coast of England sailing holiday

The final leg of our journey around Britain starts from Plymouth with a visit to Brixham followed by a long sail to Weymouth, passing Portland Bill and its famous race before stopping in the Solent, possibly Cowes the home of UK sailing – to get our breath back. We will spend a day exploring the Solent possibly stopping at Gosport before a pleasant sail to Hayling Island or Littlehampton. From there it is gentle sailing with the prevailing wind past Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters to Eastbourne and Ramsgate. Irish Sea sailing holiday, Rhu to Milford Haven

Following a visit to the picturesque fishing harbour of Portpatrick (a journey back in time) our route will take us across the Irish Sea to Bangor then a sail down the coast before crossing to Milford Haven. This route takes in the lovely island of Ailsa Craig and the Gannet colony. You can watch them diving from great heights and emerging from the sea with their prey. Ireland is only 60 miles from Portpatrick and is a glorious day sail. The Irish coast is beautiful and, despite Brexit, there are no passport restrictions on UK visitors.
