Reviews for Loire Valley self catering accommodation, France

review 7 May 2019

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Watching the crops being harvested all around on one day. The kids loved to watch the machines at work. Vincent and Sandrine also made us feel very welcome, and invited us to view some planets and the moon through their large telescope. It was incredible to see.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be aware the local boulangerie is closed on Mondays. There is a lot of information provided in the gite. Read this as soon as possible as it will answer many possible questions, and includes markets in the surrounding area to visit.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, the village was small and rural, and this gite (with others I am sure) will no doubt help the local businesses. There was recycling in the cottage and on site, and home-grown vegetables and eggs that were offered to us during our stay.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

A wonderfully relaxing and fun holiday. I would definitely recommend it.
