Reviews for Sussex shepherds hut B&B, South Downs, England

review 19 Jun 2013

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The most memorable was the lack of excitement!! What we wanted was peace quiet and lovely countryside and we got it in buckets.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take all your strain and stresess and they will fully blow away by the fantastic place, the shepherds hut. Bring a healthy appetite. You are going to need it for the lovely pub lunches. On a practical side an ordnance survey map, walking shoes and a camera and all the clothes you would need for the British weather. Other than that, leave your watches and day time worries behind.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes I do. Staying in the area we ate locally and shopped within the area. Enviormental issues are trickier as you do need a car to get around.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Brilliant. Everything described when we first saw the ad came through. The accommodation was lovely and we feel really lucky to have stayed. Words cannot describe the kindness of Lizzie, the owner of the hut, who did everything she could to make our little break so enjoyable. She is a lovely lady who has a wonderful gift of making one feel relaxed and comfortable. Thanks Lizzie xxx
