1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Watching my daughter see the stars for the first time! Zero light pollution! Also, I was so surprised by how much there was to do on the island. Nice to wake up each day and know it was going to be sunny and dry! The retreats provided an atmosphere that really felt like a community. Lots to do for the kids, social interactions but also plenty of privacy. The honesty shop made things convenient for grabbing essentials.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I would NOT recommend the boat trip to La Graciosa. The trip is a bit pricey but includes a guide and 3 course lunch. The island was so small a guide was not necessary and lunch was inedible. The restaurant the tour usually patrons was closed. Our guide went to their second choice which was awful, 3rd course was actually a cup of coffee or cappuccino! No discount was offered as a result of this experience. Truly disappointing. I would recommend visiting the island but perhaps book on your own.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, we had a fresh veg box delivered from a local farmer upon our arrival. The accommodations were green but very luxe. You can see that tourism on this island is essential for its survival.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I thought the holiday was fantastic, however it is a VERY windy island which if staying in the yurt, takes a bit of time to get used to the timbers creaking. That being said, our accommodations were outstanding, and the highlight of our trip. It was not necessary to go anywhere but plenty of outings if we wanted. Things through the office seem to happen in their time which if you are trying to plan your days can be a bit frustrating.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

We really enjoyed the boat trip to Isle Graciosa the operator organised it. We went on a RIB speed boat to get there, then went snorkelling, walking through the town and a beautiful lunch. It was a really lovely trip and our 2 year old loved it!! We even saw a flying fish!!!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

A car rental is needed to really explore the island and there is so much to explore. Rent a Prius from the operator - they drive really well, get great mileage and are automatic!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes the Finca is off the grid so the environmental impact is minimal.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent, brilliant, holiday of a lifetime. We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was better than our honeymoon!!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Arriving and being a little nervous about expectations and whether seeing everything in the "flesh" would match up. No problems at all really relaxed well judged approach. It is probably a huge cliche but seeing the children laughing and playing by themselves and with new friends meant I was more relaxed - it all just ticked over perfectly and resulted in a great holiday.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Get up early if you want to go the National Park. It is well worth the effort but the traffic queues were enormous by mid-morning.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

There was a brilliant emphasise on using local restaurants supporting those who cook authentic locally produced food and to attend markets, particularly the local farmers market. The grocery box on our arrival came from a local farmer and contained food I probably wouldn't have bought in the supermarkets but which I bought again during our stay. Self-sufficiency was discussed properly, albeit over a bottle of wine and paella with the consultant who helped set up the solar and wind power sources! He was clearly well supported by Michelle and Tila who run the site and was very enthusiastic about continuing to improve their sustainability.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Absolutely lovely.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The swimming pool! And the lovely, well thought out site. And Sally was great.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

It is a peaceful site and noise travels. Do not expect a riotous time.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

It certainly minimized impacts on the environment, it being powered by wind and sun. Not sure how much it benefited local people?

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was great. Everything you might need was either thought of in-advance or provided if possible on request. The owners and staff were lovely and very helpful.
