Reviews for Walking holiday in Las Alpujarras, Spain

review 10 Jun 2015

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The remote location and choice of beautiful scenic walks. The sense of history - the ancient white villages, the waterways and land use. The wildflowers and wildlife and the local food and village hospitality. This was all complemented by our easy going and informative guide,Dan, whose helpfulness and sense of humor was very much appreciated. A visit to the Alhambra Palace in Granada was a wonderful aside.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Good walking boots, a reasonable level of fitness, an appreciation of the environment and a spirit of adventure. Be prepared to go with the flow.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. We ate and stayed overnight in local villages, we walked on well defined local trails.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent - the Alpujarra region in spring sunshine is a sight to behold.
