1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The optional extras that we did, especially watching the bears and whales in their natural environment. The stunning scenery around each corner of the roads. Having an amazing guide who delivered so many interesting facts, and always had a smile and a sense of humour.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be aware that the tour is basically a sightseeing tour, we had expected and would have really enjoyed a bit more hiking, especially in the many park areas we visited. The transportation is a little cramped with backpacks etc at your feet (especially if there is a full contingent of people - 14 in the group). Be prepared for some very long days travelling.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The only benefit we felt we gave local people was in the way of purchasing products or tipping for their services.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Although we enjoyed our trip we wished it had been longer, we felt we needed more overnight stops so we could enjoythe scenery and what each town had to offer. Perhaps you could extend the tour so there could be more time to explore towns, walk tracks, watch the animals in their natural environs etc. Our tour leader (Alex) was amazing, often going beyond her call in order to make sure we could see as much as possible with the limited time she had available to her.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The group was excellent and we are keeping in touch, great camaraderie. Alex the guide was superb. Knowledgeable but above all friendly. A huge asset to the organization. Having seen Polar Bears and Brown bears before I was excited at the chance of seeing a Black Bear close up. The trip did not disappoint. We saw about ten including several within camera range. We also saw Elk, Orcas and a range of other interesting mammal and bird species.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for very long "bus journeys" under pretty cramped conditions. Virtually no food and very few tours are included so expect to spent a lot more than the base cost of your trip.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not sure I could say

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent, especially the guide (Alex). I would say that the tour bus needs to be larger or less people in it! There is little space in side the bus for cameras, day packs etc. It all felt VERY cramped for such a trip where much of the time is driving.
