Reviews for Peru holiday, Andes to the Amazon

review 1 Apr 2019

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Lots of great adventures, hard to pick a winner. Snorkelling in the Galapagos and meeting penguins and turtles is amazing, but then completing the Inca Trail section to reach Machu Picchu is rather good too. And then you can't ignore the Amazon rainforest or the Bolivian salt-flats.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Plan the kit well. From hot days by the equator, to sub-zero temperatures up in the Andes, from torrential downpours on the Inca Trail to blazing reflected sunshine on the salt-flats, you need to be prepared.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We received several reminders about local benefits from some tourism; I liked the solar-power adaptations for the Lake Titicaca floating villages - no need to use candles now.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Excellent - of course
