1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

All of the advertised highlights were very memorable - snow-shoeing in the different terrains with a wide variety of impressions.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't expect a tight schedule to maximize the amount done in a day. Our guide was laid back - having us enjoy a slow and stress free trip seemed as important to him as experiencing icelands nature. The operator advertises French/English so expect French speaking members in the group and bilingual explanations by the guide.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely compared to the mass tourism bus trips organized from Reykjavik. The operator and the guesthouses are locally owned and the small group size reduces the environmental impact of the hikes.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Great way to see some of Iceland's nature in the winter.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing the Northern Lights and experiencing volcanoes, sulphur springs and outdoor baths.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Bring "layers" as suggested for packing. It can be really cold in the morning as you start out snowshoeing or after stopping for breaks and lunch, but you need to shed clothes as you gain momentum during the various treks.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Hopefully the fees we paid and purchases we made supported local people and their livelihood.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was close to 4 star.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The landscape - absolutely amazing. Three nights of awe-inspiring Northern Lights.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

*Remember to bring walking poles, first aid kit, basic repair kit and something to sit on for lunch breaks. *Some snow shoe experience or skiing experience is essential as parts of the walks go over icy surfaces and/or are rather steep. *Flexibility towards to guide.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Benefited local people as the guesthouse in Myvatn is locally owned. The guide also drove us to a cooperative shop where locally made handicraft was sold.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fantastic holiday in wonderful scenery. Will definitely go back to the area.
