Reviews for Iceland walking holiday, East fjords

review 29 Aug 2019

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Perhaps hiking and bathing in Natural Hot springs and seeing the waterfalls especially hiking to several where there was almost no one. The guided Glacier hike and seeing Puffins.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I would recommend talking with a person from your area who may have done a similar trip and getting Guidebook to compare to what you asked the operator to set up. The operator listened well to our desires of what to see and what to hike. Iceland is a relatively expensive country so eating should be only dinners and stop at Kronan's groceries to buy all lunch supplies and maybe some simple dinners if you are there for more than a week. Breakfasts included at all guest houses or small hotels so that was great. A day in the capitol is probably enough.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Iceland and its glaciers and waterfalls and volcanic features and the oceans just made it special.
