1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Catharina was excellent. We gave her our budget and the different places we wanted to visit and she worked out a really good tour for us. It took several emails but she really worked on it and made changes to reduce the price when necessary. I would really recommend this company. It was all really well organised. Our driver was very good, good guides and accommodation. We were very impressed with the country and felt very safe. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Tourism is apparently down about 70% and it's one of their main sources of income. They have an enormous number of refugees but some how everything seems to work fairly well.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

We had The Lonely Planet Guide and prices are up from when that was published

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

It did benefit the local people. I think Catharina used a local company to arrange things and we had local guides, driver etc. We wanted to support conservation and are particularly interested in Nature. The county is trying to support nature and the Aljoul Reserve and Dana Reserve were very beautiful. The country is very short of water which obviously causes difficulties. Considering they have a lot of problems it was impressive that they were trying to protect nature where possible.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was very interesting and enjoyable

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Petra was amazing as was the Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum. All of the sites were definitely worth seeing and a good mix of tour and downtime. Our guide, Sami, was excellent!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Hotel in Amman was great; hotel in Aqaba was horrible so be aware - dirty, run down and overall just disgusting. Make sure you have good walking shoes for Petra and be prepared for hot days and cool nights.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I feel it benefited local people via the dinner we had in the Bedouin home in Petra and the camp in Wadi Rum.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Other than the hotel in Aquaba I would say this was very good to excellent.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Apart from spending a lot of time walking around Petra it has to be spending a night under the stars in Wadi Rum and the camel ride to see the sunrise, and then there was floating in the Dead Sea if rather salty.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Eating is not cheap and you should ensure you have enough local currency also for tips - conversion rate was a lot better in Jordan than in the UK

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Unfortunately tourists are rather light on the ground at present, good for us but not so good for the Jordanians so therefore any monies we were able to offer for services or goods were truly welcome

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

More of an adventure than a holiday, plenty of travelling, city tours and a lot of walking, scenery away from the top sites rather dry, arid and uninspiring but overall a worthwhile visit
