Reviews for Norway wildlife holiday, walking safari

review 3 Jul 2017

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Finding the pug marks of a really large bear in the forest in the Fulufjellet National Park. Seeing wild elk. Learning about the wildlife from the ants to the wolverines.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Dane is a fantastic host, committed environmentalist, excellent tracker, immensely knowledgeable and totally committed to providing a great trip. We didnt need torches as we went in the last week in June when it is light 24/7, but a plane-style eyepatch would make sleeping easier.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We, together with Dane, were careful to ensure that the environmental impact was absolutely minimal. He also gives a percentage of his profits to a conservation charity.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Absolutely first class. Dane took us and we climbed the local mountain. We camped in total isolation, and didnt see another human being. We used water from the crystal stream heated over a wood fire. We trekked and trailed the wildlife. Dane was able to tell to us about the animal and wildlife behaviour, about Scandinavian folklore and astrology too. Could not recommend more highly.
