The Glacier Walk

We went straight to the Blue Lagoon after our early morning flight. It wasn't crowded early and it was so relaxing after our travels.

To the extent that we bought goods and services, yes, local people were benefitted.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Being on a glacier and seeing the glorious countryside in the south and the Snaefellsness peninsula

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Take warm clothes and rain wear and plenty of gloves. It's very expensive to eat and drink in Iceland so take some snacks.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The infrastructure in Iceland is struggling to cope with the enormous influx of tourists so whilst they are benefiting from the boost tourists bring to the economy, the beauty spots are becoming rather over run.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It was really enjoyable. The Icelanders are friendly and keen to show you their beautiful country.

Thanks very much for your feedback, we're really pleased you had a good trip. The tourist sites near Reykjavik are very popular and therefore busy, but I hope you still enjoyed these amazing sites. For trips that are over a week there are more remote parts of the country that can be visited where you won't bump into many other tourists. Perhaps something for next time! Thanks again for travelling with us, and we are so glad you enjoyed your time in Iceland.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The three day private tour with Einar.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

The trip to whale watching was not good. To much people in the ship. I recommend to change the company, besides that, the presence of whales close to Reykjavik has become infrequent. Also night trip for northern lights watching must be revised. The possibility to see the lights are very low. Visitors can easily find places with low light if the northern light are evident and it is not cloudy.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I can not affirm that, Iceland is a magnificent country with amazing and civilized people, however, tourism is going to become progressively massive and intrusive. Measures should be taken to maintain as unspoiled as possible this outstanding country.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

We are very grateful to Responsible Travel and Aimy Hasson for the design of this magnificent holiday for us. We enjoyed a lot everything as been planned. Of course some minor things can be changed as mentioned before.

Thanks for the very helpful feedback, Juan, and we are really pleased that you enjoyed your time in Iceland. We will ensure that future customers are aware of the group and private opportunities available, especially for northern lights viewing. We are glad you got to experience some of Iceland outside of Reykjavik on your 3 days with our private guide, as this does provide an opportunity to see this magnificent country away from the crowds. Thanks again for travelling with us.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Snorkelling between two tectonic plates, visiting waterfalls, seeing a geyser, floating in the secret lagoon, meeting new people- so many...

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Iceland is perfect for a first time lone traveller, very safe and felt looked after by travel company

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Brilliant, a very well organised trip thanks to Aimy at the holiday providers who was able to arrange my holiday at short notice and was there every step of the way (even when I was on holiday) to answer my questions/queries. Helped enormously as I was a lone traveller.
