Reviews for Great Bear Rainforest sailing cruise, Canada

review 1 Oct 2018

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Seeing the bears - we were quite close to the Black bear. Also the Grizzly Bears especially the mum with her three young cubs along with this is the boat , the environment and the peace and quiet - apart from the noise of nature. The Humpback whales were fantastic. The crew on the boat brilliant - our naturalist so knowledgeable and our chef was amazing - no junk food there.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

It is a rainforest so you need strong waterproof clothes that do the job As the norwegians say - there is no such thing as bad weather - just bad clothes Dress to keep warm and dry.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely as the project contributes to the good of the people and their work in conserving the Great Bear Rainforest and its wildlife. We met a chief in waiting and visited the Big House which also helped me understand the role that the First Nation People were playing in conserving this area

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

It exceeded my expectations in all ways and it was so good to know I was contributing to a conservation programme that was helping the First Nation People and the wildlife there.
