Reviews for Botswana & Namibia adventure holiday, 13 days

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

In Chobe, watching a leopard up in a tree wrestle with his day-old kudu kill. Pulling it through big branches, almost dropping it. Then, it crawled down the tree trunk, walked right by our truck, then plopped down in front of us for a rest. Once in a lifetime experience!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don’t go to Africa with just your cellphone camera! Silliest mistake we’ve ever made. We saw Big 5, cheetahs w 3 cubs, black rhino, etc. All just blurs when enlarged on iPhone. Very frustrating. Light-weight, cool clothes.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, in that we shopped in local markets for our group lunches and snacks. We ate dinners and tipped well in local restaurants, and interacted with locals when we could. Without tourism, these countries would be in trouble—esp with the 3-yr drought.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Loved most of it. Our group of 10 were extremely well-traveled, so they didn’t get all upset when some issue came up. And they always do. We adored our tour guide, “Ash” and our driver, “Vin Diesel.”
