1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Itís hard to pick on any one thing and the week was so action packed. I would have to say that having local food in local restaurants I would never have found alone was one highlight. The other were the excellent guided trips to sites and cities - sometimes accompanied with Piero and the guide acting out scenes - superb!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared to do and learn a lot. This is not a holiday just for eating and drinking - although you do plenty of that too.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. the accommodation was at a masseria run by a local couple; most of the meals were at restaurants probably only know to locals; the nature walk helped me understand the environment. All of these meant that the money I paid went into local pockets rather than those of multinationals.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

One of the best holidays I have ever had - absolutely excellent. Piero is very knowledgeable about Puglia and he has a good network of friends to fill in any gaps. Piero is also very well organised and as concerned with detail as with the big picture. His business deserves to thrive - I wish there were more like it.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

I loved our accommodation and meals. The trip provided an excellent overview of wine production in the region - from growing to production to tasting. Piero was extremely well informed about the history and culture of the area. From ancient ruins to medieval cities to modern ports. It was an overall great experience.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Relax and enjoy. Piero is a delightful well informed guide. Be flexible and remain open to change. We were able to adjust the itinerary and visited Piero's father and brother as they harvested grapes. We also visited a small organic farm which was of interest to us.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, all of the activities and restaurants were local. Piero's values are very much aligned with ours in terms of conservation.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

The best tour I have taken.
