Reviews for Community volunteering in Tanzania

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Meeting and working with local people who are enthusiastic and involved in the projects we were working on to improve their everyday lives. The gap between their lives and mine really hit home and it has made me reevaluate some aspects of life at home.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Donít take too many clothes you wonít need them and they can be washed. Fill your case with useful stuff for the community like hats, flip flops, football shirts (the children love them), socks, bubbles, books for schools. Take you favourite coffee/tea or whatever your favourite spread or biscuits are.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I do feel we made a difference to some people. We gave a water tank to a school which will improve life for many children and teachers, spent time with the leprosy community where we found they needed more food and medicine which GoMad will help to provide. Many other small but significant acts which go to improve lives.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Pretty life changing and would recommend.
