1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Well... not to scare you off but I was somewhat unprepared: there are poisonous snakes in Cyprus and we just happened to see two such beasts right on day 1 walking :-) it's true but with a good guide and common sense, you are safe. Enjoyed the sea in early May!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

When you go to North Cyprus you have to fly via Turkey with a stop-over; so I decided to spend a few extra days in Istanbul. It was the best decision I made and recommend it to other fellow travellers. I suggest the tour operator would bring this option to travellers' attention. The cost of the flight is the same; I was on the group flight except the London-Istanbul leg that I took a few days earlier for the same costs.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely. The tour was led by local operator with good understanding of environmental impacts and conservation. One thing I would mention though.... the Local operator somewhat 'monopolised' group dinners: eg I mean the choice of restaurant (very poor choices as compared to the very many great restaurants) and expensive set menus with poor composition instead of allowing people making their own choice from the menu. One can find much better restaurants as we did at better prices all around as compared to the local operator's arrangement. This was poorly done and gave the impression that the aim was for the local operator to make some extra money.....

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

North Cyprus is great; good walks, some interesting sights to see, the sea is warm enough to enjoy in early May and excellent food at low, or very reasonable prices.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

There were a number of highlights, but possibly the best was the fish banquet we enjoyed overlooking the harbour in Latchi.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

It's classed as moderate, and the walking isn't difficult, but the distances are quite long and some of the walks don't have much shade so make sure you're really up to it.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

To an extent. Hotels were locally owned, and guide was keen to use local suppliers and reduce impact.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I really enjoyed it. We were a small group, and although diverse ages we got on well together.
