1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
I had done most of this walk some 6 years ago shortly after it became known.Having said that the coastline is spectacular, mainly unspoilt and that also goes for the smaall towns and villages we passed/stayed in2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Be realistic about the ammount of soft sand-its not just on the walk south of Porto Covo toMilfontes. Its clearly a result of how popular the route has become.Thought will have to be given to more boardwalks but then thats got to be balanced with the overall objective.Even ommitting the stretch mentioned above, a total of some 2 to 3 km of soft sand in a total daily walk of say15 km is quite a lot3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Huge benefit to local economy.Even in April the route is quite busy and that shows in the busy restaurants etc4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Excellent. Its a very attractive part of the country, extremely helpful people and great prices-no wonder there were so many German walkers-they have a strong economy and appreciate getting very good value!Holiday Reviews
