1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole trip was great, for me as a professional working long hours in the city I loved how easy it was to book and then get away for some fresh air and exercise without having to worry about it. Oh and for every food requirement I heard mentioned (nut free, gluten free, lactose free, vegan...) they seemed to have a solution!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Definitely take two towels (one for activities and one for showering). Plenty of warm clothes and shoe changes are helpful but they do provide all technical kit. Remember this is a hostel, a nice one but be aware of what to expect. Relax and go with the flow!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

They seemed really focused on minising the impact on the environment, lots of focus on reducing waste, renewable sourcing of power and recycling (they should possibly get rid of the plastic straws in the bar though!)

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I had a great time, the place is well organised which is partly why I booked it. All I had to do was book, pack and get on the train in London, everything else was sorted for me with plenty of time for activities and relaxing. I was a solo traveller and had a lovely room to myself and then was put into groups for everything else. I have done some group activity things in the past and felt that the guidance and organisation provided by Tommy and Miles was some of the best I've seen. The lodge staff were really friendly too.
