1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The 9 day trek round Annapurna Sanctuary has to be the highlight. This was made even more memorable by having the most amazing Sherpa guide and porter. They were knowledgeable and very friendly. However, the tour company made the whole trip memorable with their attention to detail and added value whilst opening our eyes to Nepalese culture and history.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Book it now and use this tour operator to organise it for you - you will not be disappointed. Ask for Gelbu to be your guide if trekking.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes - local people were used as guide and porter. We stayed in lower star (3*) hotels which were more than adequate but ensured that the money stayed within the Nepalese economy rather than making international companies richer. The tour company use local drivers to taxi their clients around rather than running their own cars. Whilst on trek we were actively encouraged to use non-bottled water either from safe local sources or to purify it ourselves.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

I cannot praise the company highly enough. Their attention to detail, value for money, ensuring that the client has the holiday of a lifetime whilst also maximising the benefits to the local people and environment is the best I have experienced. It really was the holiday of a lifetime and I can think of no criticisms.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Getting up at 4 am at Machupuchre Base Camp in freezing cold and setting up for a trek in the snow to Annapurna Base camp to see the sunrise! It was very challenging, but we loved every moment of it!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Be prepared for all weather conditions, regardless of the season. The mountains are unpredictable!

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes, absolutely! And the guide was very supportive in ensuring the minimal environmental impact!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fantastic and unforgettable experience! Thank you to the guide, our porter and the company who organised the tour!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Reaching Annapurna Base Camp, of course. After four days of hard slog the view made it all worth while. Also, the city tour of Kathmandu showed us more than we thought possible in a day.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Definitely use this operator for a start - they couldn’t have been more helpful, giving us all the information we needed, sorting out taxis and equipment, and even taking us out for a meal when we arrived - Thanks Bipin! Unbelievably good price too! We had a few days rest in Pokhara after our trek, a great place to relax, and put back on all the weight you’ve lost during the trek with the most amazing food.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Certainly. We purified our own water and had wonderful meals from the tea houses on the way - its amazing what you can cook at 4000 metres. Although we had our share of Dhal Bhat, I recommend the Tuna Pizza washed down with a cold beer ! We also took along a lot of children’s clothes to donate to local communities which we had collected from friends - Nima our guide helped us get them to where they were needed.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Wonderful - hard work, but really interesting, and relaxing as well. A perfect mix. We will definitely return to do the Everest trek and we will definitely use this operator again. Thanks to everyone involved.
