1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Dahab is a very laid back village on the Red Sea, where tourists are made feel very welcome by the locals. As it was the Holy month of Ramadan I was invited by a local man to join with his friends and him for Iftar, this was a very memorable and heart warming experience. The yoga and diving were clearly without saying an memorable joint part of the trip2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Enjoy the laid back vibe of Dahab. Enjoy the many great restaurants and local food. Consider a sunrise trip to Mount Sinai and if you are a diver definitely do some dives. If you are not a diver consider taking a course or definitely snorkel. Consider taking your own yoga mat, though they are some available they are not in good shape. The Bedouin Moon Hotel is basic but it has a charm about it and staff that go above and beyond. If you are a 5* person reconsider3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes: All staff in hotel were local or at least Egyptian as so was at the diving center "Sea Dancer's". Also dining at the many excellent local restaurants gives back to the local community.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
This trip is overall a great holiday. As mentioned the hotel has a real charm about it. The yoga sessions with yoga legend Barbara and her colleagues Sol and Ahmed were outstanding. Diving arrange as an additional activity outside of this trip was amazing and I can only highly recommend "Sea Dancer's Dive Centre. The sunrise trip to Mount Sinai was OK, overall its just another sunrise, the trek itself is nice despite it been at night and dark but I believe the main attraction of St. Catherine's Monastery is worth a visit but unfortunately is currently closed due to Covid. I would hands down recommend this trip and I will definitely return to Dahab againHoliday Reviews
