1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

It's hard to pick out 1 high spot as there were so many. It's hard to choose between the stunning scenery, the beautiful cultural settings of Dubrovnik and Ston or the warm welcome we got from all the locals we met.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Don't miss out! Do it! Our holiday was all that we could have wished for. The holiday was very well organised, the walks and trips were very varied to give us a real taste of the scenery and historical sites and our guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and willing even to adapt programmes to suit any particular places we wanted to see.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We stayed in lovely apartments run by local families who were very welcoming. As part of our trip we were taken to dinner in a restaurant that was popular with the locals and the food was delicious. We walked rather than drove and used local buses and ferries. Croatia is a beautiful country we would hope that green tourism will help to keep it so!

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Superb. Well organised with the right balance of structured walks/cultural visits and free time to explore on our own. We cannot speak highly enough of the company and there Croatian guides who made it such a memorable visit. There just happened to be only ourselves booked on this particular trip where there would normally be a small group. We felt ourselves to be lucky to have such individual attention and to be given such an opportunity to learn so much about Croatia and the people who live there.

The professionalism and friendliness of Tomi and Jelena as they happily adjusted the programme for our individual needs.

Take time to explore the parts of Dubrovnik that the tourist masses miss - we loved the sudden quiet down at Pile bay, just metres from the noise and congestion of Pile Gate.

Local accommodation owners used were all exceptionally hospitable, small restaurants recommended served delicious locally sourced food and we travelled by state registered ferries rather than tourist charter boats.
