Johnny Fox review 29 Oct 2019
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
The smart modern accommodation with everyone getting a single-occupancy full-sized apartment and the very high standard of fitness teaching and massage therapies.
2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Stay one night in Alicante before getting the transfer at 11.30am on the first day. Some guests had been up since 3 or 4 in the morning and were exhausted.
3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
No, most of the teachers/therapists were ex-pats living in Spain. We had some advice about no single use plastic bottles but it was widely ignored.
4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
Very good indeed. The care they took over dietary preferences was exemplary, and the food was delicious.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your retreat & for the lovely 5* rating, it was very much appreciated, we would also like to take the opportunity to offer some additional information & re-assurance on a few points as we feel that they are very important...
*We offer late morning airport transfers as over many years the majority of our guests have requested this as their preferred transfer time, we always keep the first day light with plenty of time to relax, take a little siesta, enjoy the retreat & our wellness spa facilities or to explore, walk on the beach etc & we do also offer alternative transfer options to accommodate our guests with later flights.
*All of our team are full time residents here in Spain & we have a varied mixture of nationalities including: English, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Portugese, German, Argentinian & Columbian but, what we value most highly is the level of qualification & passion for their profession, which I am sure that you will agree is very evident.
*With regard to recycling & plastic use etc... We make it very clear in our pre-retreat information that the use of single use plastic is bad for health & the planet & ask our guests to bring re-useable sports water bottles with them , at the retreat we provide only paper straws, fully compostable lunch boxes & bamboo cutlery with our "take away" lunches for our hikes etc, we employ water & power saving measures at the retreat for example: all of the water that our guests use in their suites waters the gardens at the retreat, our light switches have motion sensors to reduce power consumption, we also buy super fresh, local & in-season produce for our kitchen, plus wherever possible we use organic produce. We recycle on a daily basis at both the retreat & in our office...we are absolutely committed to a responsible travel ethic & we consistently work to implement & improve in all areas of our business.
