Reviews for Carmarthenshire self catering cottage in Wales
Jayne Obeng review 7 Sep 2013
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?
Too many memories to mention but we loved South West Wales - it was like stepping back in time, so unspoilt, awesome landscape and coast, and friendly people. The farm and farmers were so welcoming and the cottage was perfect for our needs - we really felt we were part of the farm community for the week we stayed. Puppies, calves - and on our trips to the coast baby seals and dolphins. What more could two small boys want on a farm holiday!2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?
Though the farm is very rural, the cottage is situated close to the farm house - so if you want complete privacy this is not for you (but the gypsy caravan they have might be).3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The cottage had clear rules - use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, compost bin, etc. Being on the farm really educated us 'city types' about where produce comes from, and the realities of rural farm living. It was a real experience for us and will definitely live on our memories.4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?
We had a great time - relaxing, some beautiful experiences (beaches, hills, islands and all the above animals). We were in bed every night by 9.30pm - tired but blissfully comfortable after a day spent exploring.Accommodation Reviews
