the amazing things you'll be doing
One week tour on a two mast sailing boat

One week to spoil yourself. To replenish, to party, to be "ignited" by the playfulness and easy goings of the whales and dolphins, swimming and sun bathing, to feel the wind caressing your hair, to meet new friends, to discover new islands on the horizon, sailing, snorkelling, swimming, singing, to get a taste of meditation. Her name is Catherina with a nice dutch crew aboard. The ship is 40m long and 6,3m broad and has 7 different sail. It is not duty to help aboard, but if you like to, you are very welcome to do so. The boat takes 10 and 20 guests.

We start in Tenerife - please book early as places are limited. It is also necessary to book flights early.

It is important to reserve a flight in time for this date. If you want to stay on La Gomera or Tenerife before or after the trip and need accomodation to be reserved, let us know asap.

The price includes: accomodation aboard in double or three or four people sharing cabins, vegetarian food aboard, further program & meditations, and tourist & harbour tax.
travellers' tales
An excellent blue skies, sunny week spent mostly at sea, where we saw whales and dolphins every day. (There was also some chance to explore La Gomera) The friendly relaxed atmosphere on board was delightful.  (more)
how this holiday makes a difference
  • We behave with the sailing boat in the respectful way of ecological and soft whale watching and approach the sighted mammals with the attitude that they are the host and we are their guests.
  • We follow the regulation of Canarian gobierno and the advice of M.e.e.r. e.V. for ecological and sustainable whale watching. Dolphin on whale watching holiday
  • We provide all guests with folders (b/w-copies) including useful information about the islands, cetaceans, problems of whale-watching (e.g. Tenerife), environmental care and responsible behaviour about waste and water problems, nature protection, drinking water, news and innovations on the canary islands which make sense to spread. Videos of cetaceans and the project of M.e.e.r. e.V. are shown.
  • We stay almost the whole week aboard the dutch two masted sailing boat and cater our guests aboard with vegetarian food.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've lead the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
