the amazing things you'll be doing
Set in a lush garden oasis we are host to the worlds top Ashtanga yoga teachers.

The retreat is situated in a private jungle valley amongst teak trees, palms, mango and banana trees and the peaceful landscaped gardens include communal areas for meeting and chatting as well as private corners for personal time and meditation.

Home to amazing local birds and butterflies the location is idyllic, close enough to Goa’s sublime beaches, yet secluded enough for you to retreat, relax and revive.

The food is unsurpassed, a fusion of Western and Indian dishes made lovingly with ingredients brought in daily from the local market, organic wherever possible and from our own garden when available. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and our fantastic staff are on hand to ensure that your needs are met.

Goa is the ideal taste of India and offers all of the benefits of a holiday location such as sublime beaches, excellent restaurants, amazing market shopping and friendly helpful locals.

This yoga retreat is the perfect place to explore this paradise. Pamper yourself with our onsite Ayurveda treatments and beauty therapies or simply relax by the pool. Whether you are just setting out on your yoga journey or are a seasoned practitioner, we will offer you the finest yoga holiday you’ll find in Goa and a unique experience you won’t soon forget.
courses
Courses are 2 weeks with some 1 week availability on request. The usual retreat offers 10 yoga classes a week, starting with a daily morning practice usually at 7am in the beautiful private shala, followed by a leisurely breakfast of fresh local fruits, breads, jams and yoghurt.

Afternoon classes are usually Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday allowing for shopping at the famous Wednesday market in Anjuna and a full day off on Saturday to rest or explore.

how this holiday makes a difference
The Retreat has a serious commitment to ensuring that the local community benefits from its success. By going to the retreat you will be making a positive contribution to the underprivileged local families.

The retreat works closely with the local school and donations are used to maintain the infrastructure. In the past we have paid for and installed a new well and pump to provide clean drinking water when previously the children had to bring their own to school. Last year we built a stage and fire exit so the students now have a place for assemblies and gatherings which are so important to life in Goa. There is a healthcare programme for the workers, which delivers free medical and dental treatment and preventative training. They have also adopted European standards in employment practices, which include sick pay and widows pensions.

Currently we are developing several green initiatives and eco-friendly strategies, which, include taking waste from the local farm to fertilise the land and giving kitchen waste reciprocally to feed the pigs. Solar panels are installed and they are working on finding new ways to become more eco-friendly all the time. This season an organic vegetable garden has been planted and you should be able to enjoy the benefits during the daily meals.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
