Our new project is a fish farm. In this project we are trying participate our local staff also.
We use this fresh farm product to make our guests food.
We are taking part for saving the kumarakom bird sanctuary.
We also taking part of destroying the thaneermukam shutter which is spoiling the the kumarakom and alleppey backwaters also upper kuttanadu and lower kuttanadu too. If the thannermukkam shutter is open 12 months then always there will be salt water from the Arabian sea and it kills all insects which is spoiling the rice cultivation. If the salt water flow is in india's largest lake vembanadu then this salt water will destroy the African weeds which spoiling the vembanadu lake. We are in the community of against thannermukam shutter which is spoiling the nature and fighting with authorities.

We do marketing for kumarakom tourism in ways which reflect the natural, cultural and social integrity of the destination, and which encourages appropriate forms of tourism.
We Adopt equitable business practices, pay and to charge fair prices, and build partnerships in ways in which the risk is reduces and shared, and to recruit and employ staff while recognizing the international labor standards and quality.
We don't hire any staff except from our village.
We have 4 local staff in our homestay in kumarakom.Now they are working with us on successful 6th year.
If we need more quantity of fish and vegetables then we buy only from local people.
We also sell our farm products in our local markets only.
Kumarakom hotels association have responsible tourism society in kumarakom.We are also a member in the responsible tourism society by kumarakom hotels.They main activity of this society is every hotels are selling their farm products in this society market and also buying the product from this market.Kumarakom local fisher mans and farmers also member in this society.They also selling and buying the product through this kumarakom responsible tourism society.The kerala tourism government department has taken the initiation for creating this society.
