Tailor made holiday in Peru
Memorable parts? EVERYTHING - it was just great! Tips? To inform themselves very early (6 month before booking) to get the most out of it. We therefore had the best holidays ever and people we met on our tour were just jealouse, because we could do all the cool stuff (we had organised the permits for Huayna Picchu, the Trek to Huchuy Qosqo etc.) Local benefits? Yes I do Overall rating? Great! (more)Barbara Buchegger

Luxury camping safari in Botswana
Memorable parts? The wildlife, the stunning location of our accommodation was truly memorable. Tips? Go to the bushcamps! Its fab. Local benefits? During our stay, we learnt a lot about the different local projects the provider of this holiday is involved with - we thought it was quite extensive. Environmentally, the solar-powered bushcamp was definitely the most ecological of the 3 camps we stayed at. Overall rating? A truly unique experience. Great service pre-booking.... History, culture & wildlife of India holiday
The most exciting part was not on the original programme. We asked Rajat to give us somewhat more nature and less culture. He arranged for us to spend a day and two nights in a resort on the Kabini Lake, across from the Nagarhole National Park. On a boat safari at dusk, amidst myriad birds and beasts, we saw a male tiger emerging muddily from the river, slinking into the jungle. (more)Robin Fox
Excellent, we enjoyed it all. The two home stays were an amazing part of our trip. Take the plunge and travel on an overnight train with shared accommodation. It's a great experience. (more)Caroline Powell
The most memorable parts were staying at the home of the Kumars, visiting Golden Temple at Amritsar and WildFlower Hall...Outstanding. (more)Andrew Hollas

Kerala luxury holiday
This was definitely a 4-star holiday!...By far the most memorable part for us was the houseboat cruise on the back waters. Two nights on a barge - we loved the leisurely pace as we moved slowly along the rivers, giving plenty of time for watching birds and also watching life as lived alongside the river. (more)Aldyth Rowe
Excellent...The backwaters trip and the stay at Serenity were the most memorable parts. (more)john still
It was a 100% enjoyable experience. We got really far off the beaten track & to the real Southern India (Kerala & Tamil Nadu). Seeing lots of wild fauna & flora, including elephant three times. (more)John Tams-Gray

Beautiful location, living in the open all day and night without the hassle of camping, the Malaysian food, the balance between privacy and company, the access to the virgin forest, the pools. What's not to like! (more)Mervyn Hawe

Big game safari in Tanzania
The time spent on Chumbe was so relaxing in on idyllic paradise Island & with it's eco ethics it is a place with a truly great purpose. (more)Becky Jones
Everywhere we looked there were birds: on the water's edge, in the air, perched in trees. Crocodiles slipped into the water and there were pods of hippos, plus giraffes, elephants, buffalo and impala. (more)Joanne Davenport
For me most memorable was arriving at Mwagusi and seeing elephant, giraffes and abundant wildlife en route from airstrip to camp; for Toby it was seeing a leopard resting in a tree (Ruaha). (more)Claire Roberts

Cotswolds bed and breakfast near Chipping Norton, England
This was our second visit to The Cotswolds (last over 4 years ago) and we were charmed anew. Too often our holiday experience has been such we're ready to return home after a few days, but on this occasion a week passed quickly, happily, relatively comfortably. (more)Elisabeth Marciniw
It was an excellent location. Very quiet B/B. Very friendly hosts and good breakfasts. Room well equiped with everything we needed. (more)Anne Grant

Tailor made Rajasthan tour, India
Memorable parts? History and culture. I enjoyed the amazing hotels we stayed in that were beautiful locations and historical. Tips? Due to distance between locations, ensure there are two nights at every hotel. There is significant time spent driving (in a car) between each location. If flying from Delhi during December / January be aware of fog delaying / cancelling flights. Local benefits? We visited local communities (e.g. Bishnoi, Samode) but not sure how it benefitted... Memorable parts? We have recently returned from a trip to Colombia. We have a very varied itinerary including coast, countryside and culture. Highlight of the trip was the 5 day trek to the Lost City. Our trek was hosted by the Wiwa people. It was a privilege to spend time with these people, learn about the lifestyle and culture. The trek itself was brilliant, the scenery was spectacular, arriving at the Lost City at first light, and having the place to ourselves was very special. Tips? Make... (more)Judith Olsen

Trinidad and Tobago nature tours
They have a philosophy where their priority is for conservation and education, trying to increase local people's knowledge of local flora and fauna, they also educate young people to become guides. (more)Val Wilkie
The stars of the fortnight were definitely the birds: from thousands of scarlet ibis coming in to roost, tiny iridescent hummingbirds battling over sugar feeders, beautiful elegant tropic birds soaring above or comical tiny male manakins dancing to attract a female. Undersea life was a very close second - it was like swimming in an aquarium just a few metres off shore. (more)Julia Chandler

(more)Sally Frohlich
Driving down to Wadi Bani Awf. Awesome. Also the night in the desert where the operator found us a camp where we were completely alone, 8 km through the dunes from the main camp, itself small and remoter than the bigger camps. (more)Peta Constable

Luxury fitness holidays in Spain
Memorable parts? Being able to relax! I had no idea what to expect and met up with a group of 30 - 55 year olds in need of time to relax and unwind. 14 burned out ladies! Gentle yoga, cardio circuits, walks, good food etc contributed to re-energise us. Good massages. Tips? To benefit fully you need to be moderately fit. Local benefits? Not really unless you count local expats as locals ... Overall rating? Good - wish I hadn't been in need to cut myself off to be able... (more)Susan Barnacott

Costa Rica eco lodge in a private reserve
They create all their own electricity with a small hydro-turbine... virtually ALL the work done on this coffee plantation is by the owners and locals. They have many LONG TERM employees because they treat them very well, from what I saw and understood. They are also re-foresting pasture land. Most of everything we ate was grown there except a few things they get from local farmers. (more)Korte Yeo
A fabulous situation , beautiful rooms, great service all round... We spent two weeks there and enjoyed every moment .Great thanks to the owners and their parents. (more)patrick heffron

Really brilliant - it was our honeymoon and we really had a fabulous time. It was so well organised by the operator which took a lot of the stress out of travelling which was exactly what we needed with such a complicated itinerary. The hotels we stayed in were second to none - really fabulous and we were spoilt rotten! (more)Erin Bunting
Seeing the orang-utans at Tanjung Puting National Park was the highlight, followed closely by the couple of days spent on board the boat to Komodo Island. The orang-utans were a joy to watch and we felt privileged to see these animals in their natural habitat. (more)Kathryn White

A marvellous holiday that exceeded expectations in all areas! Most memorable was the incredible wildlife in both Selous and Ruaha national Parks, plus the coral reefs we saw around Mafia Island - truly spectacular. Lack of other tourists was a major plus. (more)Liz Taylor
Everything was wonderful. The setting perhaps captures most of it - staying in beautiful places in the midst of the national parks and conservation areas, where the animals were everywhere (from in camp to close by during game drives). (more)Laura Dukess
We were lucky enough to see a cheetah hunting a gazelle. Unfortunately the cheetah was unsuccessful but it made the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and you really felt the thrill of the chase watching the animals in action. (more)Ilana Howley
