Exciting family holiday in Jordan
Memorable parts? All of it! We all had our personal highlights though. Hannah (11) loved swimming in the Dead Sea, Ciaran (15) loved climbing, the cycle ride and the history in Jerash, Little Petra and Petra, Luke (51) loved the camel journey, Jo (50) loved sitting round the fire with the Bedouins and trading gifts and tea with the Bedouin women in their tents. Tips? Be flexible, open minded and be up for the challenge! Local benefits? Yes, we came away feeling that the... (more)Jo Tunmer

The most memorable part was the surprise at arriving at the camp in the Wahiba Sands for our night of Wild Camping and instead of finding the little 2-man tent that we had expected we found a luxury tent complete with bathroom, proper beds, carpets, oriental cushions and lanterns which had been set up just for us. (more)Sally Frohlich
Driving down to Wadi Bani Awf. Awesome. Also the night in the desert where the operator found us a camp where we were completely alone, 8 km through the dunes from the main camp, itself small and remoter than the bigger camps. (more)Peta Constable

If I have to pick a highlight, it would be the flight to Abu Simbel and being there at sunrise, before the crowds. It was magical. And sailing on the felucca was wonderful, and just hanging out at the Nubian house that evening, sipping tea and chatting under the stars, having a henna tattoo, was just wonderful. It's almost impossible to put into words how restful, life affirming and soul enhancing this yoga diving holiday at the Bedouin Moon hotel has been. Memorable parts? There were lots of memorable moments. We visited many sites spanning about 5000 years of history. Our guide was very knowledgable and aimed to bring history to life with clear explanations without getting bogged down with minutiae. He was able to answer questions for those who wanted more information. I liked the varied mix of people in the group with eight different countries represented. Just picking out a few hightlights: the boat journey on the Sea of Galilee on a beautiful... (more)Sheila Jukes

Family holiday to Jordan, Journey to the Lost City
At the risk of sounding over the top with enthusiasm I would answer "All of it" to this question. We went to Jordan and returned renewed, stimulated and educated and with a new understanding of the culture, history and politics of the Middle East. This was in in no small way due to the effort and enthusiasm of our guide, Usama Awad. Are all of this companies guides as brilliant as he was? (more)Fiona O

Oman holiday, Forts and Deserts of Oman
Memorable parts? The desert, mountains and hospitality in Oman. Tips? Distances are long in Muscat so make sure you book a hotel with a convenient location. We made a tailor-made contract with the operator. However, the tour was subcontracted to a local travel agent - not ideal when problems arise! Often there was a miss-match between given itinerary and actual plan, not that we missed anything but somehow annoying. Book your holiday directly and you are in control! Local benefits? Not... My most memorable part of my holiday was my visit to The Pyramids of Giza, Abu Simbel and Karnak Temple. Part of the reason I consider my entire trip memorable is because of my tour guides. (more)Mary Lyons
Most memorable? I think the Pyramids at Giza and the paintings in the tomb of Ramses I, or perhaps it was the gold mask of Tutankamun, or was it the statue of Ramses II at Memphis... it was always a jaw-dropping moment at each place we visited. (more)Amanda Bristow

Cruise and swim with dolphins in Egypt
Memorable parts? Put simply, this is probably one of the best holidays I've ever been on and this is largely down to the exceptional customer care that this company offers both in the UK and in Egypt. The highlight of course was swimming with wild dolphins out in a protected reef in the middle of beautiful clear blue sea. Beyond that though the location, the food, the helpfulness of the staff, the accommodation and the attention to detail were all excellent. 2. What tips would you give... (more)Candida Perkis

Nile cruise holiday in Egypt
Memorable parts? The attention given to us by our leader Mohammed he made sure we did not miss anything Tips? This is not a relaxing holiday there are early starts and long days but well worth it the train journey is long and not smooth all the way Local benefits? Yes. Overall rating? 5 star apart from the train journey. Saw everything we wanted plus more. It was a fabulous holiday, Mohammed is so knowledgeable - he is a credit to your company. Well done! (more)Elaine Gay

Jordan cultural tour, hosted by Bedouin of Petra
Memorable parts? Our interaction with the Bedouin guides, their charm and their perspectives on the history and current social and political life in Jordan was really memorable. Petra was magnificent and Jerash was a real gem. Jordan is a much un- heralded destination. Tips? More than 2 days in Petra is necessary. Must dos - Petra, Jerash, Amman, the desert. Be open to the everyday encounters with the guides, drivers, shop-keepers etc Local benefits? Benefitted local people.... (more)Eleanor Moore
From £1249 excluding flights
Egypt holiday, tailor made
Memorable parts? Seeing the ancient Egyptian sites that are so old and so famous, to actually see them in real life. And to be able to see so much in a few days without feeling rushed! Tips? It is worth if possible to book a private guide, as the only (somewhat) negative comment is that with a big group (off the cruise) the guided tours are not as interesting than when it is exactly according to your timetable and interests. Local benefits? Yes, in principle, but given the... (more)Katrin Nyman-Metcalf
From £2270 including UK flights
Petra & Pyramids tours to Jordan & Egypt
Memorable parts? Petra was just incredible; everyone should visit this wonderful city and landscape. Just visiting Petra justifies the travel. Tips? I wouldn't recommend the services of this tour operator; they send us a really wonderful tour and timetables that was not accomplished (mostly in Jordan), the last transfer to Cairo was an 8 hours night ride from Taba with a security guard (we think it's unacceptable that we were not warned of this situation, when it's forbidden to travel... (more)Isabel Villena
