You stay at the island's top hotel, the romantically secluded ***** Ta' Cenc, set in 400 acres of private grounds and built on one level to blend in sensitively with the natural surroundings. The hotel offers complete tranquility, a friendly atmosphere and, of course, everyone speaks English.

Guests are accommodated in individual, tastefully furnished, air-conditioned stone bungalows, each with its own terrace. There are 2 enormous swimming pools, a hydro-massage jacuzzi, a fitness centre, tennis courts (equipment - and even a partner! - provided on request) and a private swimming cove. And, if you want to spoil yourself, beauty treatments are available at a small supplement.

Meals are usually served al fresco on the patio under a 200-year-old carob tree. Breakfast is an enormous hot and cold buffet, and dinner is a 4-course affair offering a mouthwatering selection of Gozitian and Italian specialities.

We are happy to suggest a walking itinerary for your week but, as this is an independent holiday, you are free to do your own thing whenever you want - we can also tailor the number of nights to suit. The hotel provides a regular, and complimentary, shuttle service to the island's capital of Victoria, but nowhere on the island is far to walk. And there's still plenty of time for exploring, swimming and just soaking up Gozo's tranquil atmosphere.
