A real eye-opener. Felt like we actually got a glimpse of what REAL Cuban life is like - the good and the bad aspects. Saw outstanding natural beauty and spoke to (and danced with!) local people who were happy to answer our questions. Overall a wonderful experience.

Trinidad was an amazing city and really touched our hearts, but having a car and the freedom to explore, and being able to see the real Cuba was the best thing we did.

Drinking rum and coke out of a coconut while swimming in beautiful sea waters at sunset, simply brilliant...Loved it. Been on many tours, the tour guide was good and it was lovely to travel in a manageable group size.

Probably the best bit was driving out of Havanna and through the various towns. I couldn't believe the sight of ox-carts and horse drawn transport as standard rather than staged for tourists!

Best experience was Caleta Buena diving centre near Playa Giron - beautiful place and very friendly staff. Fantastic holiday - we would definitely return and we have recommended Cuba to our friends.

The variety of the programme - the buzz of Havana - the Cuban people that we met - the guide that accompanied us all week could not be faulted - he made every effort to make sure we maximised our time in his country. The local guides we met were very knowledgeable, warm and open.

It was all memorable; the people, the places, the history, the cars, the music... and the cocktails!

We had such wonderful, exciting and relaxing time, made possible by the beautiful nature, the perfectly designed accommodation, perfectly integrated with the surrounding environment and most of all by the great effort, the hard work, the touching kindness and the relentless but unobtrusive enthusiasm of Porridge and Jeanelle and of all the other people. They made our holiday truly unforgettable.

Had the most amazing time and am finding too hard to get back to real work and the real world! Hmm probably the best holiday since having children - absolutely fantastic mix that allowed us to experience culture, etc without children being in any way bored.

Cruising in the 1950's cars was absolutely amazing - this is a must in Havana!!! Also loved the horseback riding in Vinales - Che's monument - Trinidad was fun, lots of music/salsa dancing there.

We spend a great two weeks at the retreat. Porridge (the manager) and his staff make anything possible and are very nice to be with. A very friendly atmosphere at the accommodation as well as in the village. Beautiful garden around the accommodation and a great beach below.

Searching for whales, being greeted by dolphins, snorkelling above seahorses leave a warm fuzzy feeling inside. I feel truly privileged to have been a part of the ecolodge and Dominican way of life, even if it was just for 2 weeks.

WOW! So many different experiences and so many wonderful people. Climbing Mt Batur at 4am to see the sun rise was a major highlight and swimming in the cool clear waterfall in Lombok.

The visit to Comandancia De Plata was absolutely fascinating, seeing where the Revolution began and how they lived whilst fighting Batista. I also loved all the outdoor swimming we got to do - in the Caribbean near the Bay of Pigs, in cave pools & rivers in Topes De Collantes, all so refreshing.

Every day was an adventure so it's difficult to pick a highlight. We cycled a day off road around the country side in the south-east of the island which was great fun.

Most memorable was dancing salsa outside in Granada after a lovely meal, mojitos and cycling... Brilliant and a great way to explore the country as a solo traveller.

Most memorable parts were being taught salsa, merengue and reggaeton by the locals, diving off the coast of Trinidad, having a barbeque on our own private beach and visiting our tour leader's farm and meeting his family and friends.
