Wow! where would we start? Muba - a great and knowledgeable guide with a tremendous sense of humour, Jackson a terrific cook and again a great sense of humour. Stumbling upon elephants whilst walking to the viewpoint at the Serengeti park gates. (more)

Tanzania was better than I could ever imagine! So many incredible animals and birds and the biggest crocs I have ever seen. For three nights we camped about 70 metres from the river Mara (and said crocs!)... The best I have ever been on. (more)

It was a privilege to be involved in the wild dog rescue at Thanda Reserve when a poacher's snare was caught around her neck. Seeing the biggest tuskers when at Tembe was another highlight and identifying them was great fun.  (more)

Namibia safari, Namibian Sands
Oh my goodness, there was such a kaleidoscope of wonderful memories, so many amazing vistas, experiences and moments it is hard to choose one. I will however, for me it was sitting at 5am at our lodge's floodlit waterhole and seeing a male lion, followed by his females, coming down to drink just yards away.  (more)

Tanzania luxury camping safari
It was the most comfortable camping I have ever experienced. The tents were bigger than our bedroom, the food was incredible and the hot, private in-tent camp shower so refreshing. But we were truly out in the wild and could hear baboons near our camp and find elephant dung behind the tents. (more)

The game drives. Our whole point in going to Africa was seeing wildlife close up, and it was abundant. Both the Porini Camps on their private conservancies, and the Masai Mara National Preserve offered spectacular game viewing. We couldn't have asked for more.  (more)

There's so much in terms of both variety and number of experiences, it's hard to capture one moment. Dolphins, elephants, stampeding water buffalo, oh and the wonderful stars at night, and the warm, smiling people. It was all unforgetable.  (more)
